Day 1 - Arusha
Meet and assist at Kilimanjaro International Airport by our local representative for assistance. Transfer to Arusha by vehicle to Arusha Coffee Lodge for dinner and over night.
Arusha Coffee Lodge lies cradled in the endless acres of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation. This exclusive, boutique hotel lodge has been designed around the farms’ original plantation homes, radiating the warmth and invitation of the old colonial plantation homes historically distinctive to the coffee plantations. Luxurious accommodation, fine cuisine, and roaring fires, beckon to the most seasoned traveler. Strategically located on the western edge of Arusha town and is 5 minutes from the Arusha airport.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater (1 night)
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha airport to connect to Regional Air scheduled flight to Manyara departing at 08:00hrs and arriving at 08:25hrs. Upon arrival at Manyara airstrip, collect by Ngorongoro crater lodge vehicle and transfer for check in at Ngorongoro crater lodge. Meals and scheduled shared activities from the lodge.
1 overnight at Ngorongoro crater on a full board basis, including scheduled activities. A luxury lodge, divided in the sake of intimacy and quality to 3 separate little lodges.
This lodge's design is an incredible combination of traditional African with European. The rooms are unique, spacious and comfortable suites of wood, mud and glass, offering a romantic bathtub overlooking the dramatic view of the crater, private balcony, 2 showers, a huge bed, a fire place and private valet service.
Ngorongoro Crater is quite possibly the most famous of
all Africa’s conservation areas. It is the largest intact
volcanic caldera in the world. covering a mere 260km², the
600 meter deep crater is home to a permanent population of
more than 30,000 animals, and is one of the only places in
Africa where you stand a real chance of seeing the “Big
Five” in the course of a morning or evening’s game drive.
Unique to the crater are the local Maasai grazing their
cattle on the crater floor, and it is not unusual to see
Maasai cattle and buffalo grazing together, with a lion kill
just a few hundred meters away.
Days 3-5; Grumeti Reserves, Sabora Plains Camp (2 nights)
After breakfast in the lodge, transfer by lodge vehicle to Manyara Airstrip. Connect to Regional Air scheduled flight to Sasakwa departing at 08:40hrs and arriving at 10:05hrs.
Upon arrival collect by Singita vehicle and transfer for check in at Sabora Plains Camp. Meals and scheduled shared activities from the camp during your 2nights stay.
2 overnights at Sabora plains on a full board basis, including scheduled activities. Sabora Plains Tented Camp is situated on the Serengeti plains, beautifully decorated in grand campaign 1920s style. The six lavish tents are air-conditioned and feature a bedroom and reading area, bathroom with bath and outdoor shower, viewing deck with your own Swarovski spotting scope, and a library lounge tent. The camp also has a dining room, lounge, wide viewing deck, heated plunge pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court, spa and Colonial Trading Post.
Grumeti Reserves is located adjacent to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, bordering the national park, and encompasses 400,000 acres of unrivalled wilderness. Wide river valleys meandering through the plains, grass lands, woodland and forest. The area forms part of the famous migratory route, which is travelled by hundreds of thousands of animals every year. Grumeti features unparalleled exclusivity combined with the ability to enjoy a wide selection of activities not allowed inside the Serengeti as it not governed by national park regulations.Days 5-9: Grumeti Reserves, Sasakwa Lodge (4 nights)
After breakfast in the camp, transfer by lodge vehicle within the Grumeti reserves for check in at Sasakwa Lodge for 4nights stay including meals and scheduled shared activities.
4 overnights at Sasakwa Lodge on a full board basis, including activities. The lodge is situated on the top of Sasakwa Hill, with awe-inspiring views over the Grumeti reserves and the Serengeti plains. The lodge, the most luxurious in all of East Africa is built in the grand style of an English manor home and comprises seven suites, ranging in size from one to four bedrooms. Each air-conditioned suite features a bedroom, lounge with fireplace, veranda with your own spotting scope, en suite bathroom with bath and shower, dressing area, guest bathroom, heated infinity plunge pool, direct dial telephone facilities and wireless internet access.
The lodge public areas offer a dining room, lounge and bar, garden room, television room with satellite television, DVD player and collection, reading library with internet facilities, billiards room, wine cellar, and Colonial Trading Post, all opening onto wide verandas and sprawling lawns. The lodge also features two tennis courts (artificial surface and clay) and a heated infinity swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
The stables are situated a few minutes walk from the lodge and are the home to sixteen horses. The Centre includes a lunging arena, fenced Serengeti plains. Tack is English style, and guests have the choice of either English or Western saddles. Game drives and walks can be enjoyed escorted by professional guides; whilst other activities include archery, lawn croquet, mountain biking and optionally a hot air balloon.
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast in the lodge, transfer by lodge vehicle to the Airstrip. Connect to Regional Air scheduled flight to Arusha departing at 10:15hrs and arriving at 12:15hrs. Meet and assist at Arusha Airport, following private transfer to Kilimanjaro international airport to connect to your outgoing international flight. Lunch in Arusha.
