Based from Chinzombo or Kapani Lodge and our remote and wild bush camps in the South Luangwa National Park, one of the world's finest wildlife destinations, this 7 night safari with dedicated specialist private guide and vehicle, is specially designed for families.
Game drives are tailored with children in mind, meals are
served at times convenient to the family and in addition to
the usual safari activities we also offer.
Day 1
Meet our representative in Lusaka Airport where you will be escorted to your connecting flight to Mfuwe, our gateway to the South Luangwa National Park. Enjoy spectacular views from the air as you fly into the South Luangwa Valley.
This flight takes just over an hour. On arrival at Mfuwe
Airport, you will be transported to either Chinzombo or
Kapani, where you can settle into your chalet. This
afternoon after an excellent afternoon tea, you will
participate in your first game viewing activity, exploring
the surrounding area on the back of a 4X4 vehicle with an
expert guide.
Days 2-4
Chinzombo or Kapani Lodge
Your days will begin with early morning game drives, giving us great opportunities to see the wildlife during the gorgeous morning light.
You will return to camp in time for a sumptuous buffet brunch before having a few hours of ‘siesta’ time to watch the goings on from your room, take a dip in the pool or have a proper sleep!
Alternatively you and your family could use this time to participate in one of the many great family activities available in the South Luangwa.
Days 5-7
Kakuli or Mchenja Bush Camp
For those families which children 8 yrs or older, you could choose to spend time in one of our remote bush camps – either Kakuli or Mchenja where families will stay in two tented rooms close together.
Both these camps are situated on the Luangwa River with stunning views and great wildlife viewing. You and your family will have the chance to participate in game drives both morning and afternoon with your own private guide and vehicle.
Day 8
Departure
This morning you will enjoy one final hearty breakfast at your camp, and then make your way to Mfuwe Airport for your domestic flight back to Lusaka.
