andBeyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp is set in a private wilderness concession of 25 000 hectares (61 800 acres) to the southeast of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve in the centre of one of the most unique regions in the world, the Okavango Delta. Renowned for its lush waterways and abundant wildlife, the Okavango is home to a number of aquatic and land species.
Reachable only by boat during the high water season, this intimate camp with only nine tents offers an exclusive experience steeped in the wonder and magic of this extraordinary ecosystem. Float gently along clear, intricate channels and explore the myriad islands of the Delta from the light and airy base of this ethereal camp. Reminders of the local wildlife are all around - sprawl among the hippos and crocs sewn on your comfy bean bag or kiss a couple of frogs lounging on lily pad shaped cushions!
Get laid back and lazy in layered guest areas that look out onto classic Delta silhouettes. Connect with friends and family in the spacious games area or treasure quiet moments in one of our secluded reading spots. Puddles of shade invite you to indulge in dreamy moments on a carefully placed mokoro bench. Share stories over the flavours of delicious meals in the open sided dining room or give in to the romance of African nights spent around a roaring fire under starry skies in our open air boma.

Nine light and airy tented suites look out onto spectacular Delta scenery. Four poster beds of blonde wood squat on bleached floors, offering up extensive views onto the birdlife paradise awaits. An en suite bathroom promises the luxury of a deep, warm bath, and a refreshing shower waits either indoors or al fresco, open to the elements.
Lull your senses with the quiet splash of nearby waters as you recline in your covered sala or get a different perspective on life, watching the waters of the Okavango from the cooling comfort of your own, fully sized private pool.

With sweeping views opening up onto a permanent lagoon, this serene and isolated Camp combines the best of what the Okavango has to offer. Glide silently on a mokoro, exploring the mosaic of islands nestled among a labyrinth of channels.

Twice daily game drives - guests can explore the wildlife surrounding Xaranna on morning and afternoon game drives in an open air 4x4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an armed guide and tracker. The landscape traversed on game drives includes floodplains, as well as seasonal grassland, woodland, shrubland and savanna. Game drives track the Big Five, as well as a variety of other animals, including the semi-aquatic lechwe and sitatunga antelope.
Interpretive bush walks - take a leisurely walk in the surroundings of the Camp to take in the sights, smells and sounds of the Okavango Delta, accompanied by an armed guide. Learn about how elephant are vital to the survival of the fan palm, try to spot the elusive Pel's fishing owl and keep a sharp eye out for the shy bushbuck.
River cruises in an electrically powered ‘eco boat’ or mokoro - explore the waterways of the Okavango by boat in the company of our experienced guides. Learn the fascinating details of the Delta's network of channels, fringed by dense reeds and papyrus. A good variety of fish can be found in the clear waters and fishing trips can be arranged on request during fishing season (1 March to 31 December). Spot the nests of weavers and warblers in the papyrus beds and watch out for malachite kingfishers among the taller stems. Beautifully coloured frog species, such as the painted reed frog, abound. Water lilies brighten up the surface of lagoons, where sleepy hippo splash beneath the surface.
