The Islands of Siankaba Camp (Mosi oa Tunya National Park) Zambia
Location:
The Jewel of the Zambezi. Zambia's most private and secluded river side lodge. The Islands of Siankaba Lodge comprises of two densely forested sand islands in the Zambezi River near the Siansimba Rapids.
It is located 24 miles upstream from the Victoria Falls and just 30 miles from the World famous Chobe Game Park in Botswana.
Accommodation:
The Islands of Siankaba have been developed as a luxurious five star lodge, exclusively sleeping just twelve guests. The two islands are linked by a suspension bridge leading to an overhead walkway in the tree canopy connecting to the elevated chalets. The design and landscaping of all the facilities incorporates the use of natural materials that blend in with the feel of the surrounding bush and takes full advantage of the beauty of the riverine site. The chalets have been uniquely designed following definitive market research into traveler's needs, encompassing a range of twin or double bedded options. They are constructed of teak and custom made canvas tenting and are raised well above ground level into the tree canopy with their balconies extending out over the river. They are linked by a winding over-head walkway so that our guests do not actually walk on the islands surface in order to protect the fragile riverine environment.
Facilities:
Finishing is of an extremely high standard using imported fittings to compliment the natural feel of the construction materials used.
All chalets are opulently finished and equipped with en-suite bathrooms, (ball and claw baths and separate shower), mini bar, large mosquito nets, ceiling fan and private safe.
Fishing is good, with Tiger fishing featuring prominently in the warmer months. Birding in and around the lodge is superb. Resident wildlife, such as hippopotamus and elephant, is likely to wander through the Lodge grounds at any time, since in the National Park they have priority. A wide choice of activities adds to the attractions of this elegant, secluded retreat.

through the Zoological Park. This is the only park in Zambia
where the endangered rhinoceros can be seen.
