For distinguished travellers who share a love of nature, Klaserie Sands River Camp is an award-winning safari camp situated within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, an open system to the Greater Kruger Park.
Here guests will experience the warmth of a camp that is run by the hands and heart that built it, luxurious accommodation designed as an extension of the breath-taking natural surrounds, intimate wildlife viewing opportunities and unique bush experiences designed to delight.
Location:
Comprising 60 000 hectares, the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is one of the largest private nature reserves in South Africa, an open system to the Greater Kruger National Park.
Klaserie Sands River Camp is situated on the banks of the
non-perennial Ntsiri River, in the East of the Klaserie
Private Nature Reserve. There are daily flights from
Johannesburg and Cape Town to Hoedspruit (Eastgate Airport);
which is within close proximity to the entrance gates of the
reserve. We offer a transfer shuttle between Eastgate
Airport and Klaserie Sands River Camp. It is a 45min drive,
with the majority of the journey taking place within the
reserve.
Alternatively, guests can self-drive or arrange
a shuttle to camp; approximately a 6-hour drive from
Johannesburg.
Accommodations:
Klaserie Sands River Camp is an intimate camp accommodating a maximum of eight guests in luxurious suites along the dry N'tsiri riverbed. The camp is beautifully designed albeit humble in its willingness to allow the bushveld vistas to take centre-stage. The serene setting, complemented by the warm nature and friendly smiles of the Klaserie Sands family, is accompanied by first class South African cuisine and fine estate wines.

The Klaserie Sands River Camp suites are cleverly designed to give guests a sense of total immersion in nature. With private decks overlooking the riverbed or waterhole, guests are treated to extraordinary views where herds of elephant, a variety of antelope and extraordinary birdlife are regular visitors (the big cats have even been known to make an appearance!). The 4 guest suites comprise 2 Standard Suites, a Honeymoon Suite and Family Suite (interleading rooms).

Located beneath an ancient Jackalberry tree, a rustic yet enchanting Founders’ Post has been converted into an open-air bedroom unlike any other. Set on a raised platform, guests are treated to panoramic views of the exquisite terrain. A draped four-poster bed is set amongst your own private lounge and dining area while a contained deck below features a loo, a safari basin and dressing facilities..

The Klaserie Sands River Camp facilities offer guests an
array of activities and tranquil spaces to optimise on their
leisure time.
Expansive shaded decks, stretched under
Jackalberry trees, provide beautiful respite from the
African sun. A rim-flow pool and sun deck, complete with day
beds and lounge areas, offers superb views of the camp’s
private water hole. Quench your thirst with a decadent
cocktail while watching a parade of animals and birdlife
doing the same.
Alternatively enjoy a pampering spa treatment in the
privacy of your room’s private deck, surrounded by the
sounds of nature.
Boasting both indoor and outdoor dining
areas, the camp offers further relaxation pods in the form
