The Lodge
Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first private game lodge set in the Zambezi National Park. This luxury tented lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River – so close to Victoria Falls one can see the spray in the distance!
The only thing that resembles a tent in these 5 star rooms is the canvas on the outside!
Several of the Luxury Tents have their own private plunge pools and these may be booked upon request at no additional charge. Future plans include the installation of an exclusive plunge pool on each of the rooms’ decks, but until this has been completed; bookings for these tents are made on a first come first served basis. Family Suites also offer an adjoining tented room, with one single (3/4 sized) bed and one bunk bed, where up to three sharing children (younger than 17 years old) can sleep comfortably; allowing their parents a bit more privacy.
Standard to each ‘tent’ are mosquito nets, a mini bar, electronic safe, tea/coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, air-conditioners and international adapters to help make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Accommodation:
Built upon raised decks, and sheltered by an extensive
thatched roof, the thirteen luxurious ‘tents’ are tastefully
decorated in earthy hues with liberal splashes of crisp
white, soothing sage and duck egg blue. Each offers a larger
than king size bed (twin bed configurations are also
possible in all rooms), comfortable sitting area, indoor and
outdoor showers and a private viewing deck whereupon guests
are able to sit comfortably and watch the hippos
wallowing.

Echoing its glorious past, The Victoria Falls Hotel’s traditional rooms and suites are truly a five star experience. The old fashioned bath tubs of the stable wing turn the
bathroom into a haven of relaxation. Rooms range from
standard rooms, twin standard rooms, deluxe twin, standard
suites, honeymoon suites and the famous royal suite. The
standard room services include same day laundry and 24 hour
room service. Inter-leading rooms are also available for
families where parents can occupy a room that links the
neighbouring children’s room through a private doorway. The
hotel caters well for disabled guests with ramps linking
specially designated rooms to all public areas of the hotel.

The Safari Experience:
Victoria Falls River Lodge is situated in the Zambezi National Park, home to some of Africa’s most fascinating animals. Elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, sable, kudu, impala and the occasional big cat can be viewed in the park (to name but a few). Our trained Field Guides offer guests several safari options.
Morning Game Drive
For the ultimate bush safari experience, head out in a game-viewer to explore the 150,000 acres that make up the Zambezi National Park. Armed with hot beverages and a delicious supply of traditionally baked ‘rusks’, be the first to catch the ‘bush telegraphs’ early broadcast of the previous night’s events.
Afternoon Game Drive
Alternatively, track a magnificent elephant herd as they move silently through the bush or admire stately giraffe as they effortlessly weave their way through spikey acacia thicket – stopping to enjoy the phenomenal sunset with sun-downers and a variety of scrumptious snacks – before returning to Camp for dinner.
